A slip ring is an electromechanical device that allows the transmission of power and electrical signals from a stationary structure to a rotating structure. Generally, the steel collector ring has good wear resistance and high mechanical strength, so it is mostly used on synchronous motors with large wear difference of collector ring caused by polarity.
