Working Principle

Adopting permanent magnets and magnetic induction elements, the angular displacement of the shaft is converted into an electrical signal output through magneto-electric conversion.

Flange form for clamping, silk hole mounting, the main size of 38mm; out of the cable for the side of the cable, the shaft diameter of 6mm, single-turn absolute, single-turn resolution of 65536, the operating voltage is 5VDC, the output mode is BISS-C output, the clock frequency of ≤ 5M.

BiSS (Bidirectional Synchronous Serial) is a full-duplex synchronous serial communication protocol, the hardware is based on differential signals of RS422 interface, which has become an open international standard communication protocol for encoders. The interface provides fast bi-directional communication and is implemented in hardware (compatible with the industry standard SSI interface). BiSS is suitable for real-time data acquisition and protects the data transfer with safety features such as CRC checksums.


In BiSS communication, the controller (control operation) that collects the data is called BiSS Master and the sensor that provides the data is called BiSS Slave.

The use of the setpoint line:


When the position line is shorted to the black line, the encoder's current position data will be set to zero, and when the position line is hanging, the encoder counts normally.   Use of direction line:


When the direction line is shorted to the black line, the current counting direction of the encoder becomes the opposite direction of the set direction; when the direction line is left blank, the encoder counts in the set direction (the default is to face the encoder axis, rotating the axis clockwise, the data will increase).
